Party Host Tip
If you are the Party Host and plan on taking part in the Valentine’s Day Left Right Story, consider recording the story on your phone and then playing it over a portable speaker. If you do this, be sure to read the story slowly and have the recording on your phone so you can start and pause it the kids or adults get confused about which way they should be passing the items.

For your Valentine’s Left Right Game, the host provides candy or prizes to be passed during the reading of the story. We recommend you have candy / prizes of different values so that players want to win them. Examples – Candy offer candy hearts and maybe two or three small boxes of chocolates and if doing prizes offer a variety of favors and maybe a stuffed animal as a premium prize. Often have a mystery prize or special present makes the left – right / pass the parcel game more fun.

Here is how Cupid’s Wayward Arrows begins.

With only a few days LEFT before Valentine’s Day, Cupid headed RIGHT to the park to see if he could find a couple that was RIGHT for each other.
He noticed a young woman, Jenna, WRITING in a journal and a young man, Luke, on the opposite side of the fountain that was RIGHT for her.
RIGHT away Cupid grabbed two arrows from his quiver.  The first arrow LEFT his bow and struck Jenna, but RIGHT before he let go of the second arrow a bird flew RIGHT at Cupid…

The story continues as Cupid strives to make a love connection, but things don’t go as planned. With only a handful of arrows left in Cupid’s quiver, the pressure is on to make a match.

Cupid’s Wayward Arrows is a Valentine’s Left Right Story for all ages. It is an original story written by Russell Troutman exclusively for Party Game Ideas.
