Pin the Pacifier on the Baby Game Prep
a. Draw or purchase an image of a baby’s face, if drawing we recommend a piece of poster board (22 x 28) and once you are done drawing it then color it in.

b. Then place a circular dash-line at the area where the pacifier should go around the baby’s mouth. This is where guests want to place their pacifier.

c. Find a picture of a pacifier and place as many as you can on a sheet of paper. The print and cut out your pacifiers. Pacifiers should be 1 – 1 1/2 inches wide. Before play it is helpful to number the pacifiers, so you know who pinned which nose.

d. Prior to a players turns add tacky putty or tape to the back of the nose, so the pacifiers stick to the baby’s face.

e. Securely hang the baby face image on a wall or door (never near steps) and have the pacifier be just above the average guests shoulder height. However it should not be so high that it is a stretch for anyone to reach.

How to Play Pin the Pacifier on the Baby
a. Guests are informed that they are going to play Pin the Pacifier on the Baby.

b. Then show them the baby’s face and tell them one by one they will have a chance to pin a pacifier on the baby. Point out where the optimum placement for the pacifier is and note the person closest to the spot wins.

c. Now reveal that they will be blindfolded for this task,  spun around a few times and then pointed toward the board.

d. Now have the first guest come up, (make sure you have their pacifier number or that their name is on the back) add tape to back of pacifier, hand it back to the player, blindfold them and then ask if they are ready?

e. When they say yes, spin them around 2 – 3 times and point them in the direction of the baby’s face. When they get within arms length of the baby image tell them to STOP, slowly reach out the arm with the pacifier, and pin their pacifier on the baby.

f. Once they have pinned the pacifier, they can step back and take the blindfold off to see how they have done.

g. Continue this process until all players have gone. Then evaluate which pacifier is closest to the center and determine a winner. If there appears to be a tie you can do one last round between the finalist.
