Penny for Your Thoughts – Ice Breaker
Supplies: Pennies, jars, stories to share
If you are having a diverse mix of guests at the bridal / baby shower, one way to get them interacting and sharing stories about how they know the bride-to-be/ mother-to-be is playing Penny for your Thoughts.
Penny for Your Thoughts Prep & Play
You’ll need two pennies from the same year, you’ll need a different year for each guest. Example: 15 guests, 30 pennies, 15 different years. One penny goes in one jar and the other penny in another jar.
When guests come in they are asked to select a penny from the jar and hold on to it. The other jar should be stored set aside in a safe area until your are ready to play the game.
When all the guests have arrived the Bride to Be or Mother-to-be selects a penny and the person with that corresponding year tells a little about themselves, how they know the Bride / Mother-to-be, and maybe a little story about the Bride / Mom-to-be.
After everyone has spoken the Bride / Mom-to-be puts the pennies back into the jar and selects one for a prize.
