Ring on a String

Ring on a String
Have guests sit in a circle around the room. Cut a piece of string long enough for it to go from the first person, around the room, and back again to the first person. Thread the string through a small ring (one without bid gems or stones) and tie the ends of the string together.
Now you have a complete circle with a ring "floating" on the string. Each person holds the string in their fists of both hands and makes a horizontal sliding motion (back and forth) touching the fists of the person on either side of them and then back again.
The ring is secretly passed from person to person using this method. Someone is elected to stand in the middle of the circle and that person should close their eyes for a few seconds so the rings can move around some. Then the person in the middle says freeze and the players must stop moving the ring and the person in the middle must guess who has the ring.
If they are right, the person with the ring must get up and take their turn in the circle. If the person is wrong, he must keep guessing. You can decide whether you want to limit guesses to 2 or 3 per freeze. Then if they don’t find it the ring can be moved again.
Thanks Cathy
