Pumpkin Smash & Battle Zone Pumpkin Smash
Pumpkin Smash & Battle Zone Pumpkin Smash
Pumpkin Smash Game Prep
- Blow up orange / Halloween balloons (We recommend you get good balloons)
- Tie off and then tie a foot long piece (can be longer) of ribbon around the end of the balloon
- Take a Sharpie marker and carefully draw a Pumpkin Face on the balloon.
- Now have everyone tie their balloon, using the ribbon, around their ankle.
Pumpkin Smash – How to Play
- Once everyone has tied their balloon around their ankle, share the rules.
- When the Party Host says Go! Everyone tries to run around and step on each others pumpkins (balloons).
- If your Pumpkin gets popped, then you are out of the game and can no longer Smash any pumpkins.
- Play Pumpkin Smash until there is only one person left with a balloon.
Notes:
- If you play outside the ground might cause the balloons to pop and so to say it is just a risk of the game.
- Grabbing other players clothes
- No grabbing balloons with your hands
Pumpkin Smash Variation
Create the pumpkin balloons and tie them around the ankle as noted above.
Battle Zone Pumpkin Smash – Before Play
- Rather the have all the kids play at once divide the guests into 3 or 4 teams.
- Also you will need to form a square shaped boundary area known as the “Pumpkin Smash Battle Zone.” A 20 by 20 ft square area would work well (adjust as you need) and you can mark it off with tape if you need.
- Place teams on different sides of the playing area and have them line up.
Battle Zone Pumpkin Smash – How to Play
- When the Party Host says Go! the first person of each team enters the Pumpkin Smash Battle Zone.
- These 3 or 4 players (depends on how many teams) will try to pop as many pumpkin balloons as possible, while trying to make sure that their balloon (pumpkin) doesn't get popped.
- Once a player’s balloon is popped, that player returns to their team, tags the next player and that player enters the Battle Zone.
- The Game continues until only one Team has balloon pumpkins left on their feet.
We like the idea of playing several rounds of Battle Pumpkin Smash, that way everyone will get a turn to play.
Play several rounds until one team has won three times which makes it more competitive.
Thanks – Siena
