Halloween Eyeball Relay Race
This is a simple game that you can make more interesting with a simple twists.
First buy eyeball ping pong or take regular ping pong balls and decorate to look like bloodshot eyeballs. Set a starting line and a cone or Halloween obstacle like a tombstone, ghost or witch at the other end of the room/yard (20 feet away).
Now divide up the guests into teams. You can have 2 or more teams, but each team will need a spoon and an eyeball ping pong ball. While you can 8, 9 or 10 players on a team, we recommend capping a team at 6 players. Often if their a to many players on a team kids lose their focus and stop being involved when they are finished, this way the race is short and action packed.
Tell the teams that they will line up at the start line and the first team player will be given a spoon and an eyeball.
The eyeball will be placed on the spoon and the team member will need to keep the eyeball on the spoon as they quickly walk or run down to the cone / obstacle go around it and return to the start line. At that point the player gives the spoon to the next player to perform the same task.
If however the eyeball falls off the spoon during their walk to and from the cone / obstacle then that player must then return to the start line and begin again.
3 Ideas to Increase Difficulty to Eyeball Relay Race
- Add more obstacles that players must weave around during the trek with the eyeball and spoon.
- Blindfold the players, however in this version you need a start and finish line and team members at both ends. FYI – If they drop the eyeball they must take off their mask and find it. A lot harder game.
- Use plastic spoon and instead of having the kids place the spoon in their hands it is placed in their mouth.
