This is good for pre-school and kindergarten. When kids are small, they can’t always remember or comprehend how tall they are. So before making our Holiday display I place a pile of gift boxes (no bows) on the floor.
Then I call over the children and tell them we are going to make a big stack of presents for our Holiday display but before we do I want you to guess how talk you think you are in presents?
What we are going to do is have everyone guess how tall they are in presents, then we will stack the presents and then we will measure how tall each of you are in presents.
And those who are correct win a small prize or reward.
If you are a teacher this is a great way to have them earn extra points for prizes or a special activity.
At this point the kids will start to size up the presents and then you will need to ask each child for their answer.
Once that is done, stack the boxes and using post it notes place a small number on each
