Christmas Corners
Christmas Corners
Growing up we used to play this game at the skating rink with numbers instead of Holiday images. What I love about it, it that it is simple and easy to play.
First get 4 Holiday images – Snowflake, Santa, Stocking and Tree or Baby Jesus, 3 Wise Men, Manager and Mary for at church.
Now place 1 image in each corner or area of the room (you will need 4 corners or areas). Tell the participants that they are to move around the room and when the music stops they need to select one of the 4 corners.
Once everyone has decided on a corner, you randomly select one of those images from a hat or bowl. The images should be folded up so the person picking the image can’t see it. I always have one of the kids that is one of the game pick an image.
Once an image is picked, then those people who were standing in the corner where that image is (the Snowflake, Santa, etc…) are out of the game and they must leave the playing area.
Now start the music back and have the kids start moving around again. Continue until you have one or a group of winners.
Tip:
When you get down to less than 6 people consider removing one image from the game. This gives the players less choices, now 3 rather than 4, but also speeds up the end of the game.
